National Riverside made some heaters to fire using a
spark plug and others to fire using an electrode. It is important
to verify that you have a new style or an old style heater prior
to making any kind of service repairs or parts replacement. New
style heaters have an octagon cover and old style heaters have
a round cover.
Always remember to match the model number of your heater with
the model number of the individual breakdowns in this section.
The breakdowns in this manual refer to the model specifically
listed on each individual page. Use a breakdown only if you have
the exact model match for
your particular heater. You can use the Quick Parts Reference
Parts Guide located in the back of this section as an easy way
to locate parts. If your model number does not appear in the
breakdowns, please refer to the Quick Parts Reference Parts Guide
for common replacement parts.
